This Is Not a Court or Government Office. Marquette County Court Docket is privately operated. It cannot obtain an official case file, change a hearing setting, alter or seal a court record, issue certified copies, or provide legal advice. Those actions belong with the court clerk or the court that maintains the case.
Need an Official Docket or Record?
The proper starting point depends on what is needed and which court owns the case. A docket is commonly called a case history or register of actions in Michigan. Court Display provides a public scheduling view, while a clerk-held case file can include documents that are not available through a public search result.
- Public case history: start a case search with the court, party name, or case number, then ask the appropriate clerk about the official record
- Court date or setting: review the court calendar and confirm a near or changed setting with the court
- Certified copy: request it from the clerk that maintains the Circuit, District, Probate, or authorized Juvenile record
- Specific document or case file: identify the court, case number, document, and desired format before contacting the record custodian
- Public-record limits: ask the clerk whether a document is public, redacted, sealed, or subject to an authorized access process

The Marquette County court directory supplies the current court-routing and public-calendar links.
Use a court-clerk request for a judicial case history, court document, order, judgment, or certified copy. County FOIA is for county-held administrative records, such as policies, budgets, contracts, or nonjudicial reports, not as the normal path to a court file. The Marquette County FOIA procedure identifies the administrative-record route. Court and law-library staff can explain procedure, but they cannot give legal advice or interpret a case.
