Search Queries
When you enter a name or case number in a search tool on this site, the entry is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and returns any result. Marquette County Court Docket does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other contact submission may be retained so that a reply can be provided. It is kept within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the site’s servers can receive technical visit information. That information may include:
- The date and time of the page request
- The referring site, if one was supplied
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- Device type and operating system

- The IP address associated with the request

No Court-Record Data on File
Marquette County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case records. It provides general reference information about where Marquette County court records are kept and how to contact the responsible court or clerk. Michigan court records are governed principally by MCR 8.119, not by this private site. Michigan FOIA, MCL 15.231–15.246, concerns county administrative records and is not the normal route to a judicial case file.
This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or records about third parties.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes may be supplied by independent companies. Information entered in a partner tool is handled under that partner’s privacy policy, retention practices, and sharing rules. Marquette County Court Docket does not control those practices, so review the relevant policy before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links on this site can lead to court portals, clerk pages, statewide case-search systems, legal-aid resources, and outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the receiving site’s policy controls the visit. Review that policy before providing personal information.
Advertising partners may also measure activity across websites for advertising purposes. That activity occurs within the partner’s systems rather than on this site’s own records.
Who Might See Your Data
Marquette County Court Docket does not sell personal data. Information can be available to:
- Government or law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal order
- Advertising networks that place advertisements on the site
- Analytics providers used to assess traffic and performance
- Search partners that process a query entered through their tool
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect information the site receives. Internet systems cannot be made completely risk-free, however, and no guarantee is made that an unauthorized access incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If the site is notified that such information was provided, it will take reasonable steps to remove it.
Your Data Rights
This policy does not assert a general Michigan consumer privacy statute. Depending on where a visitor lives, other law may provide rights concerning personal information held by a private website. A visitor may ask for access to information held about that visitor, correction of inaccurate information, deletion where appropriate, or an opt-out from certain processing.
Those requests do not govern judicial files. For court-record access, MCR 1.109 addresses protected personally identifying information, redaction, and confidential filing, while MCR 8.119 governs public court-record access.
